That doesn't stop her though from trying to help others out when they are being bullied, as she has a strong sense of justice. Her good willed nature reaches out to most people, and yet she's very shy and quickly closes up to any stranger that tries to approach her. What can mostly be noticed about the young girl is how stubborn she can get about things she believes in or wants to do. When she makes a decision, nothing can make her change her mind. Most people describe Lucy as somewhat of a strange girl who comes with many weird statements or facts, mostly then things she has read or seen on TV. She seems to be a bit socially isolated and gets easily awkward around people. What she absolutely loves above anything else is strawberries. Like really, she's obsessed with strawberries. All of her books have strawberry stickers on them, she draws strawberries everywhere, and she seeks to have strawberry shaped hair clips or clothes that have strawberry labels on them. That obsession underlines a bit the childish nature of Lucy, as she often acts like she's younger than 16, then preferring to play on the swings or build sandcastles over doing what 'normal' 16 year old girls would do.. like flirting or dating or trying to fit into that state of almost becoming a grown-up. She can also throw small 'fits' like pretending to be offended while pouting and acting like a 6 year old that didn't get candy from the store. Lucy tends to be rather jealous, often seeming a bit clingy and temper mental in a spoiled way if she feels like a friend of hers is spending too much time with someone else. That goes mostly for a good friend of hers, Hanashi, whom has helped her coming a bit out of her shell. Lucy gets very protective of her friends and will sacrifice everything to see them become happy. But that's sometimes a fault also, as she seems to be willing to sacrifice -anything- for others. As mentioned before, Lucy loves to read and watch TV to seek new information and gain more wisdom. She's rather intelligent for her age (despite her childish nature), and is a quick learner. Lucy is very trustworthy, and has often experienced the role of being the listener, even for people she doesn't really know that well. There's something about her that makes people want to trust her and be able to use her as their personal shrink. And yet, she herself keeps her own problems bottled up inside. Being ignorant about things HISTORY: Was born to a rather happy family, her parents Suzumi and Ryuu Asano both being successful in their jobs and loving each other deeply. When Lucy is 3, her father has a car crash and has to stop working due to having injured his leg too badly to be able to work a full-time job again. As a result he starts becoming depressed and starts drinking. At the age of 5, Lucy's father hits her and her mother for the first time. This results in Lucy's mother leaving 3 months later, leaving the young girl with her now constantly drinking father who is without a job and lives on money which the government let him have as compensating for the leg injury. When enrolling into school at the age of 6, Lucy was a very silent and socially isolated child. But she meets a girl that's 1 year older, named Hanashi, whom becomes sort of Lucy's protector. Due to Lucy's unique looks, the white skin and white hair along with the ruby red eyes, make her a very easy target for bullying. But not many dared do that in the open due to Hanashi's rage. With the years Lucy and Hanashi became better and better friends, but the household of Lucy got worse and worse. The girl seemed to suffer a lot on the inside but wouldn't talk to anyone about it. She lied about the bruises and wouldn't even share anything with her dear friend Hanashi. At the age of 15 it was clear that not everything was alright. Lucy seemed to cling to the idea of staying a child, not wanting to socialize with others her own age and preferring to play children's games and concentrate only on studying. Sometimes that seemed to come a little in between her and Hanashi, but they still managed to keep some of the good old friendship intact. After she had entered high school, Lucy surprised all the teachers by how good behaved she was and good at nature. She still gets bullied now at the age of 16 and mostly by girls who make fun of her looks. Her clothing is often a little bit ragged as her father doesn't care the least about giving her money for new clothes. She manages to hide better her problems now, but desperately tries to cling to the friendship she has with Hanashi.
