WANTED: Family!

Hello there, I'm new here, as most can tell, and I have a bit of an odd request.

I want some family, Brothers sisters, cousins. Anything. I have thought out my character.

Oroshi, 16 2nd year, his goal is to be the local information broker. Selling and collecting info seems rather fitting for a Persona type game, and an sadly unused character archetype. So the character itself is fleshed out. but family background is something I'm drawing a bit of a blank on.

So I wanted to see if I would get any bites on an idea like this. I've never done anything such as this before, so it would be quite interesting. I am willing to change certain things about the character to fit, as long as the basic idea isn't tainted. I'll also go into great detail about the character, upon request. So any bites?

I try not to be rude, but please don't be insulted if I'm picky. After all I have to live with this choice after it's made, so I'm going to pick whoever interests me most, though the sooner the better :3.

If you want, I can offer up Mizuki as a cousin? Since her parents were just either killed or jail, maybe she could move in with your character, or your character could move into the Inn her family use to run?

A taker :3 that's good, I was getting a bit worried. Well your character certainly seems interesting. With her lack of family, but great wealth and independent nature it would be logical for a Cousin to live with her or some such thing. So I certainly wouldn't mind, Living in an Inn sounds nice enough, though would the memories make it preferable for Mizuki to live somewhere else?

And Cousin is fine, though do you have a preferred side? As there was family business based plot involved I wouldn't mind your input. Along with basic family background, was the family the type to live rather close to each other? I have no issue with being a "New kid in Town" But I do want my story straight. And this is after all an experiment, being related to another character, so I want to do this properly.

Hm, well honestly, her family is such an old fashioned one they wouldn't care if she had issues living in the home. It would probably make sense if your character was her mother's nephew, maybe both of our characters could have known and played with each other as children before she moved away to the inn. Currently I have it that her grandmother moved in with her, maybe your character came with along with his mother/father/other relatives?

Ah, I'll make a note of that Oroshi is the type to take life into his own hands, so no worries there. And that's fine too, either angle would be interesting. Any preference on the gender of the parent? After all it is the late mothers sibling. And if it's a brother I would also have your mothers maiden name x3. I hope I'm not laying annoying details on you, I just think it's important not to fabricate important tidbits. This is sort of a group effort in nature after all.

And a little childhood friendship would be good, it looks like Mizuki could use right now. And I'm not sure what path to go with other family. I don't see the main issue with moving in alone, and adding parents would add a certain since of extra intrusion. Wouldn't want you to usurper you as the young rich girl owner type.

Mmm we could say Mizuki is now using her mother's maiden name too, or that her mother's parents forced her father to give the baby her mother's maiden name to keep family tradition or something. So they could have the same last name if it's his father.

And yeah, she would probably need that. If he moves in alone, then it would also be kind of tense since Mizuki get's nervous now a days rather easily. If his father moves in with him, she might go a little crazy with paranoia because of what her father did.

That all seems fine to me, after all, sharing a sir name does kind of add to the family bond.

And that is a bit iffy...Could always just go with the mother, but that could also be painful for other reason. If I had a vote, I would go for the move in solo route, she would be his grandmother too after all, perhaps moving into the inn, would be a way of not choosing one parent over another in a divorce or some such thing.

I like that~! So he moves in with her grandmother.

Also, the family is suppose to be very stuffy and formal, like an old feudal family. He doesn't have to be well behaved, just know how to behave for stuff like that. One of the family's duties is taking offerings to the shrine in the village, so it's old traditional stuff like that.

Yay, and that's all well and good, he's pretty friendly and charismatic, ya kind of have to in his line of work. He's pretty good in social situations. Also he'll most likely peek his noes in Mizuki's business, but he'll be discrete.

As I mentioned, he's an information broker, he buys and sells info, he observes, spies, get's something juicy, word get's out, for others to learn these secrets they have to share some of there own. I think it's just what a persona RP needs.

Ah then he'll have a field day if he ever finds out about Mizuki, Personas and her being a Sephiroth

Oh for true, he'll get his own Persona, but I doubt it'll be right away, I'm in no rush for that. He'll have to get in the SEES too, oh now that would just be tasty x3. it can be fun to be the middle man as long as you don't get killed.

Yeah x3 I can imagine a dinner with the grandma turning into Mizuki tackling him over the table and trying to choke him if she finds out he's with SEES. This is turning out to be quite the little family <3

That would be quite interesting, though don't miss understand, I meant I need to establish a contact with SEES. it would give me an interesting moderating type position. But who know? I'm going to simply start him out as a student, and let the chips fall where they may. So I suppose we have everything sorted?
