Unfortunately, she is sometimes taken advantage of because of this although she doesn't always realize it. She looks up to her older step-brother, Daisuke, despite the difference in their personalities.

Haruka is rather naïve. She has a difficult time deciphering sarcasm, often responding with a genuinely curious expression that isn’t usually well received by others. It’s sufficed to say her cluelessness often proves as a hindrance in some situations, as she often fails to grasp social subtleties. Sadly, Haruka isn't very graceful. She has an overabundance of manneristic quirks and can be quite clumsy. Although she can usually avoid obstacles during a casual stroll she has the habit of veering off to the side as she walks, sometimes finding herself unintentionally cutting in front of people or bumping into them. Her lack of coordination usually doesn't find itself into interactions with others but when it does it manifests in short pauses and occasional stuttering. These are all, however, a part of Haruka’s innocent charm.

Contrary to her naïvety and, what seems like, perpetual cluelessness Haruno Haruka is remarkably perceptive in relation to the emotional and mental state of others. She can often peek past most facades and confidently note one's convictions, although in most cases she opts to keep these observations to herself. It may also be sufficient to note that she is a rather hardworking student. Haruka may not receive the best of grades but she studies exceptionally hard to get them.
